On the occasion of the 10 years anniversary of Ukraine's independence the group of Ukrainian and Russian mountain-climbers will make the rise to Elbrus. The experienced mountaineers will lead after them to the mountains their younger followers. This, in fact, is the main aim of the expedition - not to set a record, but to show the younger generation the most beautiful corners of the world, to cultivate courage in them, to inspire youth with this kind of sport. Totally the group consists of 32 men, including mountain-climbers, rescuers from different cities of Ukraine and Russia. All the participants will conquer the peak, known among experts as "The Saint Mountain". The culmination of the expedition will be the hoisting of the banners: Ukrainian, Russian, banner of the Donetsk region and of the Board on the Special Economic Zones and the Special Mode of Investment Activity in the Donetsk Region.

The expedition became possible due to the support of the region authorities and enterprises implementing the investment projects approved by the Board on SEZ in the Donetsk Region.

The secretary of the Board V.P. Pismak marked that the volume of investments to Donetsk region exceeded 1 bln. USD that is considered to be a significant anniversary present a to the state on its 10 years independence.
