Agricultural complex
The Volnovakha District has in total 157 thsd ha. in agricultural production. Main crops grown in the area are winter grain, buckwheat, corn, millet, sunflower seeds, sugar beets and grass. By January 2002, harvesting volumes were:
- Grain - 31 centner per ha.
- Sunflower seeds - 14,6 centner per ha.
- Vegetables - 107,9 centner per ha.
- Potato - 117.5 centner per ha.
