  • Energy Supply.
  • The developing territory has 110 kV substation with two sources of power-supply. There are two 125 megawatt transformers in the substation. The enterprises which need power supply with capacity more than 3000 kilovoltam-pere must build their own 35 kV substations. The users must bear building expenses for 35 kV substations and lines. The consumers receive energy by 10 kV lines in appropriate place outside the red line of their sectors. One more 110 kV substation will be built within the development of the territory.

  • Water supply.
  • The consumers are planned to be supplied with water from the existent Donetsk engineering services. The water can be used both for household, drinking and industry. At the first phase of the territory development water supply is to make up 4000 m3 a day. The consumers can receive water in the drawoff points outside their sectors. In Special economic zone "Donetsk" it is planned to build a new water pipes 800 mm in diameter.The capacity of the pipes is planned to be 60 000 m3 a day..

  • Sewage System.
  • There are two pipelines, 600-800 mm in diameter, for storm and discharged waters on the territory .The pipe-lines are separate of the general municipal sewage system. The consumers can attach their own sewage systems to the general sewage system at the appointed points outside the red line of their sectors. The sewage system is planned to be extended in the future..

  • Communication.
  • Communication of the subscribers is provided with automatic telephone exchange with a digital programmed control. There area several large firms which work as operators of vehicular communication. They render communication services according to the following standards: GSM-900, NMT-4501 and D-AMPS.

  • Gas Supply.
  • The consumers are supplied with gas from the municipal gas network. It is planned to build a new gas pipeline and a gas-distribution station whose capacity will be 20 000 m3 a day.

  • Transport.
  • Convenient transport connections and location with-in the precincts of the town are real natural advantages of Special economic zone "Donetsk" which is 10-12 km distant from the center of Donetsk. There is an international airport and a railway station in the city. There is Mariupol State Sea Commercial Port in 100 km southward from Donetsk. When leaving the special economic zone one finds oneself in the motorway which is named Donetsk-Zaporozh'ye-Odessa-Kishenev.

    In the north-east direction there is a route AdIer-Ros-tov-Kharkov-Moscow. There is a ring road round Donetsk which is very convenient for freight transportation. In the center of the city there are modern hotels, leisure enterprises and major banks which have business relations with many foreign banks. Donetsk also has a wide network of modern filling and service stations.

  • Natural and Climatic Conditions.
  • The developing territory is situated at a height of 150 m above the sea level. The climate is temperate-continental. It is characterized by hot summers and comparatively warm winters. All seasons are pronounced. Temperate rains.

    The highest atmospheric temperature is + 41 °C, the lowest one is - 37 °C. Average temperature of the hottest month (July) is + 21 °C, average temperature of the coldest month (January) is - 6,5 °C. July-September is the rainiest season of the year.Average annual precipitation rate is about 600 mm. Strong south-east and east winds are typical for the region. Annual solar time is 2100 hours. Winter depth of freezing is 90-100 sm.
